Taiyaki is a Japanese cake in the shape of a fish. The outside is crispy with a soft inside, similar to a Belgian waffle. Traditionally the dessert is filled with red bean paste, but Kawagoe Takase Taiyaki offers many more options. For sweets, they also offer custard, sweet potato paste, rice cake ball and red beans. Prices range from $1 to $1.50.
